Lakhamandal group of temples were discovered less than 20 years ago by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), when innumerable Shiva Lingas started appearing in various places around this site. This area is associated with the exile of Pandavas during the Mahabharata era and is believed to be the site of Lakhshagrah, a fort made up of wax. Duryodhana burnt the fort to get the Pandavas killed but they somehow escaped from the secret caves called 'Pandava Gufa'. We have made a separate video on this cave:
