Intermittent Mechanism with Gears and Chains

Описание: I designed this really weird intermittent movement mechanism by accident. I'm not sure if there is a precedent for it already known to many. The nice part about it is that it could be built with off-the-shelf parts instead of having to buy or build a Geneva mechanism or other gears-with-gaps mechanism.

Since the movement speeds up and slows down as it does, it could be appropriate for some types of machines. I'm not sure if it would work for a projector because of the slight movement of the final gear while it is "stopped". Maybe with a little math, I could get it to be exactly stopped at the stopped position. I just don't know yet how to achieve that using math and the Linkage software doesn't report element speeds so I can't do it by trial and error.
