Описание: Polskie Radio (Polish Radio) was founded on the 18th of August 1925 and began making regular broadcasts from Warsaw on the 18 of April 1926. Before World War II, Polskie Radio operated one national channel and nine regional stations. The invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union led to the destruction of the network in September 1939. The final broadcast was a performance of Frédéric Chopin's "Nocturne in C Sharp Minor, Op. posth." also referred to as "Nocturne in C Sharp Minor (Number 20)" by Władysław Szpilman on September 23, 1939 when Warsaw was besieged by the German army. Frédéric Chopin's "Nocturne in C Sharp Minor, Op. posth." is a solo piano piece composed in 1830 and published in 1870. Chopin dedicated this work to his older sister Ludwika Chopin. First published 21 years after the composer's death, the piece is usually referred to as 'Lento Con Gran Espressions,' from its tempo markings. With its beautiful expressive melody, I felt it would be a wonderful piece to transcribe for accordion. The clarity of tone brings out the beauty of the melody. I hope you enjoy my interpretation.
