Emerging from the darker corners of the French black metal underground, Devious Lust unveils “Carnal Liturgy”, a debut full-length album conceived as a sealed environment where atmosphere, tension and controlled intensity converge. Created entirely by Alastor (Dernier Souffle, Temple of Baal, Glorior Belli...), the project turns inward, shaping a work that explores the unstable ground where devotion, instinct and human fixation intersect.

Across its unfolding structure, “Carnal Liturgy” develops through sustained pressure and deliberate restraint. Tremolo passages accumulate weight rather than release it, rhythms shift with measured persistence and the vocal presence remains embedded within the sonic mass, close and intrusive. The result is an immersive atmospheric black metal experience that tightens gradually around the listener, constructing a compact and oppressive space where tension becomes the primary language.
