Welcome to another song and music video, this time aimed squarely at modern gaming journalism...let's face it, they deserved this after their Highguard coverage.

You know, the kind that forgot games are supposed to be fun and decided instead to lecture, moralize, and talk down to the very gamers that actually built the industry...

From IGN, Polygon, Kotaku, and TheGamer (etc.) all sounding like they just copy/paste each other's articles with slightly different headlines…to gaming journalists seemingly deciding whether a game is “problematic” before they even get their hands on it.

My point of this parody song is trying to highlight the insane disconnect between gamers and gaming media...and how that gap keeps getting wider and wider while, ofc, they still think they're right about everything and that it's the gamers who are the problem.

If you’ve ever:

• Rolled your eyes at another moral lecture disguised as a review

• Watched gamers get labeled “-ists” or “-phobes” for disagreeing

• Been mad about hit pieces written about awesome games

Or noticed how failed gaming outlets somehow just keep respawning under new names...

…yeah. This one’s for you.


Here are some of the points I tried to include in this thinly-veiled rant disguised as a song:

• The echo chamber of modern games media

• Journalists prioritizing politics over gameplay

• Hogwarts Legacy, Black Myth: Wukong, and Highguard drama

• Blaming gamers and reframing legit criticism

Is this song politically correct?
Absolutely not.

Is it intentionally scathing, sarcastic, and full of funsies?
