Soft Homemade Cinnabons with Cream Cheese Icing

Ingredients
Dough
300 ml milk, room temperature
5 g dry yeast
20 g sugar
150 g flour
2 eggs
50 g sugar
4 g salt
100 g butter, room temperature
500 g flour
Filling
100 g butter, room temperature
150 g sugar
20 g cinnamon
Cream Cheese Icing
50 ml milk
50 g powdered sugar
250 g cream cheese
Cooking Steps
Dough:
1. In a bowl, mix milk, yeast, sugar, and 150 g flour. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30–40 minutes.
2. In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, salt, and butter.
3. Add the risen dough mixture and mix well.
4. Gradually add 500 g flour and knead until soft and elastic.
5. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 60–90 minutes until doubled.
Filling & Shaping
6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
7. Spread butter evenly over the dough.
8. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
9. Roll into a log and cut into rolls.
10. Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
Baking
11. Pour 50 ml milk into the bottom of the baking dish.
12. Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Icing
13. Mix milk, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until smooth.
14. Pour icing over hot Cinnabons.
15. Serve warm and enjoy.
