Aligning with the global theme of International Women’s Day 2026, which is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls", this webinar will reflect on the outcomes of the COP-6 of the Minamata Convention.
It will discuss pathways to address key components of the decision COP6/16 and define possible actions to prevent exposure of women and children to mercury, particularly in the context of artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM).
This webinar is being hosted by Women4Biodiversity and MSP Institute together with the Secretariat of the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
