After confronting Ansem in the Castle Oblivion, Riku finds himself faced with a terrible scene: Sora is trapped in a capsule and asleep. Alongside Sora, a friend he has just remembered: Vix. Feeling that she is surely responsible for the situation, Riku violently demands an explanation. Vix guiltily explains to him that she had to put their friend to sleep so that he could regain his memories, memories that she manipulated without thinking of the consequences and under the influence of the Organization 13. Riku is furious but determined to do everything for Sora to wake up, no matter the sacrifices. A mysterious Diz joins them to help, but Riku remains wary and feels he can't trust anyone except himself.
