In this video I want to share with you the details of making this front yard name sign. I though it would nice to include a 3D image of his family dog carved in to the sign. For after all Hurly his family friendly Labrador is part of the family too.
I decided to cut the letters and 3D carving of their family dog completely out. Then carve in a recessed pocket. Glue the pieces all together to achieve this effect. I figured it would be easier than using a much thicker piece of wood. Then carving all the extra wood out to give a flat service with the letters and hurly raised up above the service.
