Fender Custom Shop Set-Neck Stratocaster 1993 Natural

Описание: Very beautiful and special Custom Shop Strat. In the early days of the Custom Shop they developed and made this set-neck Strat to show off their craftmanship. So not a bolt-on neck as in the traditional design of the Stratocaster. The body is made of mahogany (instead of alder of ash) with a bookmatched, flamed maple top. This Strat was restored to the original pickup setup with Fender Lace Sensor Pickups. Blue in neck, gold in middle and two red pickups in the bridge position. Not the original pickups that came with the guitar. They were lost during its 30 years of existance. But I bought the same configuration at different places on the internet (The Netherlands, Italy and the USA).

Check out how this guitar sounds. Recorded with a Røde NT2A in front of a clean Blackstar HT5R with just a bit of Reverb from the amp. I play a G Chord and some mediocre blues noodling in G in all switch positions. You can find pics and info on my website and you can even buy it online on:

A Strat is a Strat, isn’t it? Not really. Since ‘54 every Fender Stratocaster is different. Neck profile, pickups, weights, kind of woods used, fingerboard, finish, Custom Shop or reissue. Even if you have two Strats of the same year, the same type and the same setup, they will not sound and play the same. My advice, buy a used Strat. It will hold it’s value, so you will play for free! What is your perfect Strat? My answer: Never enough Strats!
