Описание: This is day one at the range, test firing a replica Coehorn Civil War Mortar. This is a black powder muzzle loading Mortar. Its scaled down to fire a soda can filled with concrete. Using a full charge of 200grains FFG black power it will fire a concrete filled can about 300 yards. The Coehorn Mortar was designed to be small enough for soldiers to be able to pick it up and move it around a battlefield for greater accuracy, and to be able to respond quicker to a changing battlefield. This is in contrast to traditional artillery, which is fired from well behind the front lines, with aiming adjustments made by relaying messages through a series of spotters and runners. This portable mortar was originally developed in the Netherlands by Menno van Coehoorn in 1674.
