Explained: What connects PM Modi Twitter account hack, PayTM Mall & 'John Wick'

The e-commerce firm had said that user data was safe and it was investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the hackers also used PM Modi's account to seek Bitcoin donations in the name of the 'PM National Relief Fund'. This invoked memories of mass hijacking of celebrity accounts in July 2020. Twitter accounts of eminent individuals like Barack Obama, Kanye West, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk, and companies like Apple and Uber, had been hijacked to carry out a Bitcoin scam.
