I know not many of you will care about this ship, but those of you who do, well, I want you to meet one of my favorite crossover ships ever. Please do note that Lucy for me is more of a book Lucy than Lucy of the NBC show, but Katie is perfect and I've already said countless times that Reeve is the best Dorian I've seen to date so... FAVORITE FUCKING CHARACTERS AND ALL THE FEELS.
There are two reasons why I think those two can actually work extremely well.
If we take Dorian's and Lucy's book backstories they were actually super similar once. Those innocent and naive... ahem, angels for the lack of better word who charmed everyone around them without even knowing they held such power over people.
And if we take them later and look closer at their shows' versions (with Lucy minus the "Oh I love Mina like love love plot" I hated because jfc that's the most OOC they could go with miss Westenra, I do love it when Lucy is a bit more flamboyant and self-assured, though) and OH MY GOD, those versions + literary backgrounds blend so well together. Like Dorian is that irresistible boy and you can actually see there's a boy behind all his boredom and yearning for new experiences, same goes for Lucy, that perfect blond social butterfly who's learnt to take pleasure in dress fittings and balls and all that, when really she's longing for something else.
And don't even get me started on vampire!Lucy and Dorian. I'm actually sad now there's not going to be a second season of Dracula. I didn't like it one bit, but vampire!katie!lucy ahhh. :c
And I redownloaded episodes in full HD for that video (PD's episodes are 5gb each and I have very little hard drive space left, mind you). I never do that for shows.
Do you feel my love yet? xD Like sure, it can be because I've got a fever but I'd rather go for love for those two. And while I ship Dorian with Vanessa, the idea of Lucy and Dorian is literally driving me crazy. I know the chances of Lucy appearing on PD are very low because Vanessa has pretty much taken her place as Mina's friend but a girl can dream, right?
