Описание: Ramin Tayani, M.D. grew up in Irvine California. He attended some of the finest institutions in the U.S. After finishing his double major in Psychology and Biological Sciences from the University of California, he obtained his Masters in Health Policy and Management from UCLA. He then attended Yale University for his internship, completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and obtained his fellowship training in Oculoplastics Surgery from Harvard University. Upon completing 17 years of training after high school, he decided to return to his home town and open his practice by hanging his shingle in South Orange County.

The Tayani Eye Institute is a single owner medical practice founded by Ramin Tayani, M.D. on March 27, 2000. The practice started with zero patients, no contracts, and a 927 square foot space with two exam rooms.

In the first 3 years of its existence, the practice began growing with a solid “grass-roots” marketing approach of tremendous hard work, quality work, being available to his referring doctors and building relationships with local emergency rooms, and local doctors (primary care and optometrists). Over this period of time it steadily grew in its volume and reputation in South Orange County.

In its fourth year of business, the practice expanded to 2000 square feet and was seeing a larger volume of patients as it began obtaining competitive contracts in the local community including the primary IPA contracts within the area.

In May of 2005 Dr. Tayani brought on an associate, Peter Joson, M.D. a general ophthalmologist with sub-specialty training in glaucoma. Dr. Joson, too, is a local Orange County resident with training from a series of fine institutions like: Cornell University, New York Medical College, University of Washington, and New York University.

The two doctors continued growing the practice and opened satellite offices in Irvine and the local mountain communities of Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead.

In mid-2008, the practice opened its state of the art ASC, The West Coast Center for Surgeries in San Clemente California and further expanded its local practice to 5000 square feet. At the same time, the practice opened a superbly modern and beautifully laid out additional 5000 square feet office in Mission Viejo California.

In 2009, the practice acquired a cosmetic practice for laser hair removal and brought that business into the Mission Viejo complex (adding a volume of 500 visits per month alone).

The latest expansion is the opening of the 3 rd full time office in Laguna Hills, California in February of 2011.

Today, the practice has 3 full time offices in San Clemente, Mission Viejo, and Laguna Hills; with an additional 4 satellite offices in Irvine, Costa Mesa, Lake Arrowhead, and Big Bear Lake. The practice has approximately 12,000 square feet of office space, a surgery center and a cosmetic practice as well. The volume of patients today is about 250 patients per month, 100 plus surgeries per month, and approximately 750 follow up patients per month; with an additional 500 cosmetic patients per month. It has two ophthalmologists and a new veteran optometrist (with 30+ years in the field and a local doc).

In 2011, Dr. Tayani decided to make the practice a “full, one-stop shop”, and hence is adding optical services and contracting with all the major vision plans. The practice will be contracted with VSP, EyeMed, and Sculptera.
