Democratic transition in Serbia after the 2000 elections was a challenging time. Change was coming, but slow and not steady. In this video, we interview a series of political actors in Serbia surrounding this period. All interviewees emphasized the importance of government accountability efforts to improve functioning of public institutions. They also highlight the importance of monitoring groups and free media to ensure government is held accountable. Languages: English and Serbian with English subtitles.
