The first Stem Cell Research Institute in India, it was established in 2009 and continues to push the boundaries of knowledge about stem cells and their applications through national and international collaboration. With focus on both fundamental and translational research, inStem aims to probe the most pressing health challenges of our times.

As an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, we also form a part of the Bangalore Life Science Cluster (BLiSC).
