LOOKING FOR MECHANIC TO HELP FIX MY DAILY:
Expert Mechanic Suggestion / CausesYour fuel air mixture is off and the car is choking out. My guess is fuel pump is overheating or like ******* said in the comments that your intake valve or throttle body might need a good cleaning. With the proper scan tool u should be able to view your cars systems in real time. That would point you in the right direction. Also use a vault meter on the fuel pump fuse if u get fluctuations then u know it's the fuel pump dying out.Last but not least go to the store and pick up a can of throttle body cleaner. Fallow the instructions on the can And run a cleaner through the fuel system maybe there is a clog or carbon buildup. Those r the cheapest options for a fixJOHN B: Expert Mechanic Forum: I would pull the top o2 sensor (sensor above the cat) and take it for a quick drive to see if it’s making any additional power with that o2 sensor out of the system. If it makes more power, then it’s a good possibility that the cat is clogged again. That sound is not good, that sounds like cam timing chain or something that came loose.it could have jumped cam timing, or broken the timing gear pin. But I could have a clogged cat.Jon Luis the fluttering is intake/throttle body, but there could be something else causing the fluttering noise.•Intake valve needs cleaning•High pressure fuel pump but no codes. •Check for Vacuum Leak
