FOUNDATION WATERPROOFING – against pressurized water with inlay (W2A) due to EN15814

CX 20INSTALLATION AND REPARATION MORTAR
Any damage at the substrate should be filled in and levelled with e.g. cementitious mortar. Chamfer all edges at an angle of less than 45 degrees. Get rid of any substances which decrease adhesion. To remove all loose particles and laitance from the substrate use the grinding machine or steel brush. Remove the dust properly to prepare the surface for priming.
1. PRIMER APPLICATION
Dilute the product with water, depending on substrate’s absorbency and mix thoroughly.

Apply a uniform priming coat to the prepared substrate by brush.
Let CP 41 coat dry completely.
2. WATERPROOFING WITH BITUMINOUS THICK COATING
Two components of Ceresit CP 48 should be mixed with an anchor stirrer.Pour the entire powder to the liquid component and mix it thoroughly. Mixing time: at least 2 minutes.

Concave fillet inner corners, e.g. with bitumen thick coatings in the radius of about 2 cm. Allow the concave fillets to dry properly, before applying the next layer. Start from the bottom and work with vertical moves. Take care of the corners and edges. Do not interrupt work in those sections. Immediately embed in the first fresh layer the inlay CP 49 with an overlapping of 10 cm over the full surface.

Thick coatings always have to be applied in 2 layers.
3.APPLICATION OF PROTECTIVE & INSULATION LAYER
Insulation boards should be fixed to protect PMBC against damage during backfilling and ensure additional insulating properties. Insulation boards should be fixed to protect PMBC against damage during backfilling and ensure additional insulating properties. You can fix boards from extruded foamed polystyrene, e.g. by using CP 48 bituminous mass. Start fixing boards from the bottom to the top. Remember to fix the boards in a brick-like manner.
