Описание: Satellite Altimetry is one of the famous space/satellite geodesy methods, which a huge number of application in Geodesy, Geophysics, and Oceanography. Its principle is rather simple as it is a distance measurement technique between satellite altimeter and sea surface, but there are error sources, which should be considered to determine this distance. In this lecture, these points are discussed and explained. In addition, the sea surface height (SSH) is one of the known products of satellite altimetry is defined.
