For over a decade now, Call of Duty Zombies fans have longed for the idea of a standalone COD Zombies game to exist. A Zombies game that is completely separate from the main Premium Call of Duty title, that can offer a "greatest hits" collection of nostalgic Zombies maps and potentially offer new ones. With the recent leak of Treyarch's next COD game being delayed a year, a prominent leaker in the gaming community has suggested that something Zombies related is happening in 2023, despite the year delay of Treyarch's next COD game. Back in February 2021, prominent leaker Tom Henderson tweeted that a standalone Zombies project was in early development. Could this new tweet relate to a standalone Zombies game? Could it be related to Zombies Chronicles 2? A Zombies DLC that has been long awaited by many Zombies fans.
