Dr. Meher Wan is a physicist, science communicator, and policy researcher with over fifteen years of experience at the interface of science, society, and culture. He has been supervising postgraduate and doctoral research in science communication at the CSIR–National Institute of Science communication and Policy Research in New Delhi. He has also served as an Associate Editor of Science Reporter and headed the Research Journals Division, overseeing 15 platinum open-access journals and leading their transformation to international standards. He is the author of acclaimed biographies of J. C. Bose and Ramanujan, and has written widely for national and international platforms including Nature Physics. He’s a committed advocate of Open Science and works across languages like English, Hindi, Urdu, and Bangla, bridging scientific knowledge with public discourse.
Dr. Sujata Sharma is a protein structural biologist, writer, and professor at the Department of Biophysics of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She has over 170 research publications and she is the author of five science fiction autobiographical books, "Warriors in White", "The Secret of the Red Crystals", "A Dragonfly's purpose", “Kovi’s Promise” and “Tumhara Bholu”. She has been awarded the 'Kalpana Chawla Excellence Award', the ‘Peaklife Woman Inspire Award’ and the ‘TWAS Award for Public Understanding and Popularization of Science’. She is also a recipient of the prestigious ‘National Bioscience Award for Career Development’ and ‘National Woman Bioscientist Award’ by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Deeply passionate about fostering a scientific temperament in society, she has her own youtube channel called “Science Popularization by Prof Sujata Sharma.” She is the founding President of the society “Biofootprints”, which is committed to promote and popularize medical science using easy to reach platforms.
