Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CE22011Z-11050-2. This is the CE Smith spare tire carrier for trailers. The heavy duty carrier is going to provide a mounting point for your trailer's spare tire. It's going to be constructed of a zinc plated steel so it's very strong and long lasting as well corrosion resistant. It's going to come with the actual spare tire holder, and two lug nuts. This product is made in the USA.
It's designed to fit four lug and five lug wheels up to 15 inches. Now it's designed for trailer frames, rails, and tongues up to three inches wide. We're going to go ahead and go over some basic measurements real quick. This is going to the portion that's going to go around your trailer frame, rail, or tongue. Measuring inside edge to inside edge. That's going to give us a measurement of 3 and 1/16 of an inch.
Measuring inside edge to inside edge down at this location, that's going to be 3 and 3/4 of an inch. The length that this offers, measuring at the bottom of the bar to the end of the threaded portion, that looks to be right around 12 inches. Then measuring from the top of the bar to the end of the threaded portion, that's going to give us a measurement of about 12 and 1/4 of an inch. The threaded portion, that's going to contain 20 threads per inch. It's going to give us a diameter of 7/16 of an inch. It's really simple installation.
You just place this around your trailer frame, rail, or tongue. Again, you're going to have 3 inches to work with. Once you have that around there you can place you spare tire over the threaded portion making sure the threads come through the lugholes. Push the tire up against the frame of the trailer, and simply secure it with the included lug nuts. Once you have the lug nuts tightened down you're going to be set to go.
You just want to make sure that they are tight enough, holding the tire securely on the carrier and against the frame of your trailer. That's going to do it for our review of part number CE22011Z-11050-2. This is the CE Smith spare tire carrier. .
