Before You’d raise to life again to reign, as Sovereign King over Gentile and Jew
You laid Your life down to take it up again, taking up Your cross to save all men
Lord, let us receive Your sovereign plan, O let our hearts accept what is true

How do we explain to those You’re calling the victory of Your resurrection?
All authority in heaven and earth was given to You for our direction
We’ll go and baptize as You’ve called us, repenting of unbelief that stalled us
And enjoy Your presence manifest, as Your work through us comes to perfection

Empowering comes to those You’re sending, power for reconciliation
Giving Your Spirit-life, never-ending, You bought through Your humiliation
Ambassadors of the Heavenly King, throughout the earth Your praise shall ring
When the obedience of Your glorious church preaches the gospel to all nations!
