3News Investigates: Progress made at Cleveland's Park 85 apartments after city issues violations

Описание: One month after residents at the Park 85 apartments came to 3News for help, city officials say the property's owners and managers have begun making repairs tied to more than two dozen violations.

Residents first contacted 3News saying they had been living with rat infestations, no heat or hot water, overflowing trash, leaks, and other unsafe conditions at the complex on East 85th Street and Superior Avenue in Cleveland's Hough neighborhood. After our initial reporting, Cleveland's law director and housing inspectors conducted a walkthrough and issued more than 25 violations that the owners were given 30 days to fix.

On Monday, the city said progress is finally happening.

"I will say this, which is thanks to your reporting, this management company has really responded," Law Director Mark Griffin told 3News Investigates. "So is it done yet? Absolutely not, but have they started to comply and fix the violations? Yes."
