Lalbagh Botanical Garden, or simply Lalbagh ('red garden'), is a historic botanical garden in Bangalore, India, with a legacy spanning over 200 years. Renowned for introducing and propagating ornamental and economically valuable plants, it also serves as a recreational space. Its iconic glasshouse, built in 1890, hosts biannual flower shows during Republic Day (26 January) and Independence Day (15 August). Alongside Cubbon Park, Lalbagh is a vital urban green space, home to diverse wildlife, including birds. The garden features a lake and a large rock crowned with a watchtower built during Kempegowda II’s reign.
