ICMms galore at golden hour! 🌄 - Arrival / Departure -

Описание: It's been a while since I last uploaded a full upload of my favourite current day Dutch train, as well as my favourite stock as a driver: The ICM(m)! I figured it was well overdue, so a month back I set out to the western part of the serie 700 and 800 intercities to snatch some footage on various locations...

It was a bit of a puzzle where I wanted to go after the tunnel station of Schiphol Airport, without passing longer services on the way there. So in order to not miss out on a few services while on the way to Almere Oostvaarders to capture some services at speed, I decided to make an intermediate stop at Almere Centrum, Almere's main station, where all services call.

Now I had set my sights on an eleven-car, three unit service heading for Schiphol and looked up who the driver of the train was. It turned out to be a fellow colleague from my base of operations Zwolle with a learning driver or "Aspirant Machinist" as we say in The Netherlands, handing over the train to the next driver to complete the journey. After exchanging small talk with the both of them it now really was time to take position and start recording, and although I was just slightly a bit late to start recording my capture, I managed to get most of the 10-car service in the opposite direction on film as well, before the departing train I came for started departing!

Facing a beautiful sunset, I was lucky enough to capture not 4, not 5, but 6 ICMm units in shot, consisting of a total of 21 cars divided over the two services, what a sight! Too bad the zoom lens was a bit smudged, which is why I decided to cut the video short until the final car left the switches! A small stain on an otherwise beautiful capture, hahaha! 🤩
