Administrative Change Is Not Decolonization: A Word to the State
A flyer is circulating suggesting a move from 10 regions to 20 regions in Cameroon.
Many are asking whether this finally resolves the Southern Cameroons question.
This video explains, calmly and legally, why it does not.
This is not an emotional argument.
It is a legal one.
With the United Nations recently renewing its call to complete decolonization, including 17 remaining unresolved territories, administrative maneuvers must now be understood in their proper international context.
Domestic restructuring may address governance questions, but it cannot substitute for completing an unfinished decolonization process, particularly where a UN-mandated post-plebiscite arrangement was never finalized.
This video outlines:
why internal administrative change is not an internationally binding solution,
why past efforts failed to resolve the issue,
why this moment is different from the last 65 years,
what is reasonably expected of the Government of Cameroon going forward, and
the lawful outcomes that can emerge once the process is completed properly.
This message is intended to inform, clarify, and encourage lawful resolution — not escalation.
