In this video I demo inking and printing a drypoint etching. I will be printing this image using a small etching press.
Supply list:
Plexiglass - cut to the size plate you want.
Your Image - either a drawing or photo.
An Etching tool - This can be any sharp object to scratch the plexiglass, I'm using a 2 point etching tool with a cork grip in this demo.
Black paper or cardboard, I use to see where I've etched.
Paper towels or an old newspaper - used to. keep your area clean, apply the ink, and remove the ink.
Rubber Gloves
Intaglio Ink - I use Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink.
Pre- dampened heavy Printmakers paper or watercolor paper
In this demo I use an etching press to print.
