I am happy to announce that I have been awarded the XXVIII Compasso D'Oro for the Mr.X sunshade.
Mr. X is a concept of space and an extremely innovative product, where the present technology was stretched to its full potential, rendering a new concept of sunshades, where the interaction of the user is at play to magically transform the two-dimensional portal into a three-dimensional space.
The jury's motivation was "the new type of architectural complement with a variable conformation-portal to gazebo-for the comfort of outdoor living spaces, capable of becoming a space organising element, as well as an efficient functional response to the need for shade"
.
Sono molto felice di annunciare che ho vinto il XVIII Compasso D'Oro per la tenda da esterno Mr.X.
Mr. X è un concetto di spazio e di prodotto completamente innovativo dove le tecnologie esistenti sono state utilizzate all’estremo delle loro potenzialità per creare un nuovo concetto di tenda da esterno dove l’iterazione dell’utente trasforma magicamente un portale bidimensionale in uno spazio tridimensionale.
Le motivazioni della giuria: “una nuova tipologia di complemento architettonico a conformazione variabile – portale, gazebo – per il comfort degli spazi abitativi esterni, capace di diventare elemento ordinatore dello spazio oltre che efficiente risposta funzionale al bisogno di ombra.”
