The Messermeister Meridian Elite Stealth 8" chef knife is a nimble workhorse that still cuts great. It essentially corrects the issues I have with the Wusthof Ikon by being 1) lighter 2) slightly more forward balance that can accommodate a pinch grip on the blade 3) much better cutting geometry. The handle is notably comfortable, easily beating out the Mercer Renaissance and Wusthof Classic but still short of the Ikon (probably similar to the Zwiling Pro).
Overall it is an great luxury German style workhorse for the kitchen that is both very comfortable and high performance. I personally recommend this Stealth version as the ideal knife for this category.
