An eye-opening first walk in Seksyen 7 PJ, What did I expect? Assumption Church Unplanned visit

Описание: I took a walk around Section (Seksyen) 7 to see what it was like. It was my first time in this neighbourhood and didn’t know what to expect. I knew it was a mixture of new and old houses and was under the impression that the new would trump the old buildings. It was one of the first areas in Petaling Jaya to be developed after the Second World War to combat the overcrowding in Kuala Lumpur so I knew that it would have developed not long after Sections 1 - 6. I did find out that the leases had 40 years left so knew that some houses must have been built around the 60’s. But Section 7 more than surprised me….. Oh, I also made an unplanned visit to the Church of The Assumption as it was opened.

I visit places in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, some known, some off the beaten path. Towns, parks, nature, buildings, and whatever that is interesting to me. I will be including other places in Malaysia soon, but for now, I'm exploring all I can closer to home. I am 66 (as of 2025) and intend to explore this world in my third lifetime.
