"I Am a Voice That Sings" Strathmore Children's Chorus | by Michael Bussewitz-Quarm

Описание: SCC is proud to be among a consortium of choirs who commissioned this work in 2020. Bussewitz-Quarm (b. 1971), passionate about effecting change through choral music, composed this song during the COVID-19 pandemic to capture hope through human strength, perseverance, and endurance.

SCC celebrated 10 years of bringing choral music excellence to Montgomery County, MD with "Numbers" May 19, 2022. SCC featured counting songs from different traditions, and revisited some of its greatest hits from the past decade.

SCC provides a pre-professional choral experience to students ages 7-18, from diverse backgrounds. Founded by Artistic Director Emeritus Christopher G. Guerra and led by Artistic Director Michael Wu, five performing ensembles promote self-expression in singers, celebrate the diverse musical traditions of our residents, and engage talented youth in joy-filled and uplifting music-making. SCC also performs with professional orchestras, other choral groups, and featured artists in ensemble performances, allowing Strathmore to provide a living, breathing, singing presence in our community. https://www.strathmore.org/community-...
