Описание: President William Ruto has extended by two days the registration period for more than 10,000 homes in Soweto ZONE C and D, Kibera, to accommodate the surging crowds. Residents are expected to vacate to pave way for the construction of 15,000 affordable housing units. Thousands have turned up to register and collect Makao Bora Cards — their ticket to owning one of the new homes once complete. But beneath the government’s promise, frustration is simmering over allegations of favoritism, exclusion, and opaque dealings.
