This cake was for my step-son who recently got married. The bride's only request was for red roses and something silver. I decided to combine feminine petal ruffles with a rustic wood top tier plus the addition of a little metallic flash for the middle tier.

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make the ruffle petals for the bottom tier and how to get silver cake tiers without having to use expensive silver leaf.
