How do you Ceilidh?
In this Video Neil Valentine leads a group of avid dancers through his version of the class Circassian Circle! Its a fun way to start a Ceilidh, bringing everyone together and getting to see lots of friends and meeting new people!
As you can see here, lots of fun was had! And its always better with live music.
Learn the steps:
Circle Right for 8 counts
Circle Left for 8 counts
A's (Gentlemen) walk in for 4, then jump and shout hey! then walk back.
B's (Ladies) do the same
Everyone do the same
Turn to your partner, do-si-do with them, then say goodbye!
Walk past your partner, say hello to the new partner coming the other way and do-si-do with them.
Then ready to start the dance again!
Accompanied by Chris Nichols (fiddle) and Aidan Hampson (guitar).
