Utah mother Kouri Richins bound over for trial in death of husband, Eric

On the final day of the preliminary hearing, a significant point of contention was whether Richins attempted to kill her husband by administering a fentanyl-laced breakfast sandwich on February 14, 2022—roughly two weeks before his death.

State Prosecutor Brad Bloodworth detailed that after Eric Richins consumed the sandwich, he texted Kouri about a medical emergency, contemplating a hospital visit. Bloodworth highlighted Kouri's response: “Take a nap.”
