On the President's support for Israel's sovreignty in the Golan Heights? "Its going to be very interesting to see what happens in Congress and perhaps more interesting to see what happens in the Arab world."
I asked if it was a "coincidence" this announcement comes in the midst of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's re-election battle? "Do they do politics in Washington? Do they do politics in Tel Aviv? And Jerusalem, of course. I’m shocked!"
On Syria: "This has been so horrific, I have termed this a geopolitical Chernobyl, the melt down of a country."
Petraeus thinks Bashar al Assad will likely remain as President there for the forseeable future. "Saying that he ought to go is different than saying its realistic he will go."
