Using the Alere Combination Rapid HIV test (TGA approved point of care HIV test in Australia) HIV infection can be detected as early as 14 days.
It is important to note that the test can be considered conclusive after the window period of 90 days so you may need to get a second test to ensure there was no seroconversion (going from HIV negative to HIV positive) after your first test.
