Westminster Bridge Police Boat Crash Leaves Four Officers Seriously Injured

Описание: Five Metropolitan Police officers were injured when a Marine Policing Unit boat struck Westminster Bridge at around 3.40pm on 24 July 2026.

The vessel was responding to a report of a person in the water near Battersea. Three officers were thrown into the Thames and recovered with help from people aboard nearby boats.

Four officers remain in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. One officer has been discharged, and no members of the public were injured.

The cause has not been confirmed, and the Metropolitan Police says the circumstances will be thoroughly reviewed.
