Having a ribboned nichrome element threaded through the perforated HeatCore allows the HeatCore to evenly warm.
This assists with heat distribution and allows the HeatCore to be heated quickly.
During our testing the HeatCore increased from 22.4°C standing temperature to 83.5°C in just 10 minutes.
Room temperature 22.4 degrees.
The HeatCore is turned on for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes the power supply to the HeatCore was then disconnected. This allows us to monitor and demonstrate how the Fischer HeatCore retains heat.
5 minutes later, the temperature is taken again and has further increased to 97.1°C. How is this possible without it being plugged into a power supply?
The HeatCore in the Fischer radiator uses a mixture of aluminium oxide and copper which are highly conductive. This allows the heater to continue to heat even after the power supply has ceased.
The thicker the HeatCore the more retained heat. Thanks to their 40mm HeatCore, Fischer Radiators retain heat even after the power supply to the heater has stopped.
1 hour after the power was disconnected, the HeatCore still measures 49.7°C.
After 2 hours of testing, the HeatCore measures at 30°C – still higher than our starting temperature.
