Florida Man Arrested For Not Updating His Address

Here's what he had to say: "So for the first time ever in life, last night I was arrested and spent the night in the county jail. Pretty wild. I was charged with "Fail to notify change of address in 30 days". I didn't know that was a thing to be honest. I moved into a new house late last year, then I got pulled in a traffic stop in December. The LEO told me to update my address, so I did it literally the very next day. Didn't realize I needed to go to court to show proof of this. I kinda thought this would have updated in the system for them to see. After all they did come to my new address to pick me up, but I guess that wasn't sufficient?...maybe they should create a more efficient way to verify these things. Probably top 10 worst things I've ever experienced.

Most embarrassing part wasn't even having to undress in front of the LEOs, even though that was humiliating as crap. It was my son seeing me get arrested at my home over some absolute dumb mess. I try to be a role model for my children so yeah that hurt more than anything. All good though. $1,000 cash bail later & a few lessons learned. Hopefully the judge will throw this whole confusing thing out".
