Описание: Introduction to polymers for nanoengineering: molecular weight, step-growth vs. chain-growth, radius of gyration. CORRECTION: the plot of average MW vs. percent conversion for uncontrolled chain growth is not the same as the one for step growth, as I stated around 42 min. The profile is actually more like a reflection of this plot about the diagonal line starting at the origin. That is, the molecular weight rises quickly and then levels out. The average molecular weight doesn't change much as the reaction proceeds (if you don't count monomers), you just get more polymer molecules in the mixture.
