Описание: This simple demonstration shows how to create what is known as a "reed" in musical instruments, by cutting off the tip of a simple straw as shown in the video.. Blowing on this reed produces a musical note. Trim the length of the straw and listen to the note produced every time. It will be clear that as the length reduces, the note produced has a higher pitch. This is because the column of air that vibrates gets shorter as you cut off pieces of the straw. Try adding another straw to the first one and see what happens to the pitch.
