Deputies seek information on one year anniversary of double murders of Tre' Lyons and Cody Bennett

Описание: November 27, 2024, marks the one year anniversary of the double murders of Tre’ Lyons and Cody Bennett. Both men were found shot to death in a vehicle at the intersection of Pearl and North Orange Streets in 2023.

Detectives are continuously working to solve this case, and have identified a suspect based on the execution of multiple search warrants, surveillance footage, cell phone and social media records. SJSO is not releasing the identity of the suspect at this time, however this person is in custody for an unrelated crime. No arrests have been made in this case. Detectives have received several tips, but believe there are citizens who have more information about this crime. There is a cash reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest.

“We’re talking about great kids that were loved in the community, tried to give back to the community. That doesn’t make sense to take somebody’s life to begin with?” Cody Bennett’s mother, Alexis Bennett also said.

“Please speak up,” Tre’ Lyons mother, Kalisha Jefferson said.
