Charlie Puth’s “Changes” is a warm, melodic song with a subtle but powerful groove.
This arrangement challenged me not only musically, but emotionally — the song’s warmth gave me the strength to complete it.
One of the biggest challenges was adapting the band-style bass loop into a piano texture. If treated carelessly, it can sound awkward on piano, so I focused on preserving the original bass movement and groove while reshaping it into a natural, playable piano language.
The result is a piano arrangement that keeps the song’s smooth rhythmic pulse, supports the vocal-like melody, and maintains the original band feel — all within a solo piano performance.
