"Millions of anonymous dollars are being spent to corrupt our elections.
Special interests pour out money to influence elections and pressure politicians, without ever having to disclose where the money comes from.
Now, the Arizona Legislature just passed a law to make it even easier to launder campaign money.
That’s right - dark money laws like SB 1516 hurt our democracy by creating massive loopholes for contributors, politicians, and parties; effectively nullifying campaign law enforcement; and giving political parties even more power over elections and much more.
If this dark money law goes into effect, we won’t know who’s influencing our elections: billionaires from out of state, out of the country, or even worse.
Fortunately, we have the right to force this misguided law to a vote of the people.
