Eagan is a Professor of Philosophy and Public Affairs & Administration at California State University, East Bay. Her research interests include feminist philosophy, critical theory, political philosophy, ethics, the philosophy of public administration, and the works of Theodor Adorno, Michel Foucault, and Judith Butler. Her recent writings reflect on the intersection of power, the body, recent social movements, and democratic governance.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
