তিনবারের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার কবর জিয়ারতের জন্য রাজধানীর জিয়া উদ্যানে সকাল থেকে জমায়েত হতে থাকেন নানা শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ। পরে বেলা ১২ টার দিকে সাধারণের জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেয়া হয় তাঁর সমাধি। এসময় নীরবে দাঁড়িয়ে শ্রদ্ধা জানান সমবেতরা। কারও চোখে অশ্রু, কারও হাতে ছিলো ফুল।

People from all walks of life began gathering at the capital's Zia Udyan since morning to pay their respects to the grave of three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Later, her grave was opened to the public at around 12 noon. The gathering stood in silence and paid their respects. Some had tears in their eyes, others held flowers in their hands.
