The Irish Kidney Association's Organ Donor Awareness Week launched on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, at the Mansion House, Co. Dublin. Organ Donor Awareness Week 2025 runs from 10th - 17th May with the message: "Don’t Leave Your Loved Ones in Doubt" and opens up the conversation around organ donation and the vital role families play in honouring donors' wishes.
At the launch, the speakers included those whose lives have been touched by organ donation: transplant recipients, an individual awaiting a transplant, and a mother of a deceased organ donor. Key speakers include Dr. Brian O’Brien, Clinical Director of ODTI, Carol Moore, CEO of the IKA, and Eddie Flood, Chairman of the IKA.
