• The scrappy Ryko Softgloss XS
Been a while since the machine needed work.. generally very low maintenance equipment, and often when it breaks down, it's more or less a quick fix.
The undercarriage and side blaster systems run off the same reservoir tank - each system has its own water solenoid. But when neither work, it's almost always the float in their reservoir that fails, the upper one usually. I believe the float in the base of the tank is a safety feature that will not let water try to flow through the pump should the tank become empty.
Replacing the upper float was the solution. Always keep a spare float, as even though they're supposed to be sealed, they can take in moisture over time and corrode the contacts inside, causing the float to work only intermittently or quit altogether.
